Treeh is built as your private local chronicle for creative upcycling projects — a personal space to document every step of rescuing worn-out items and transforming them into something new. We built this tool for creators like you, and your privacy is core to everything we do. This policy explains how we handle information when you use Treeh.
1. Information We Collect
We separate your creative content from non-personal app data clearly, to keep your private work secure:
Your Creative Project Data
All content you create in Treeh stays with you, by default. This includes:
- Project names and descriptions
- Before-and-after photos and stage photos for your project timeline
- Personal notes, date logs and custom timeline entries
- Material ledger entries, supply tracking and spending records
- Favorited projects and finished work gallery content
All of this data is stored only on your personal device. We do not have access to this content, do not transmit it to our servers, and never share it with any third party.
Non-Personal Automatic Data
If you opt in to help improve Treeh, we may collect anonymous non-personal data such as:
- App crash logs that do not include any of your project content
- General device information (device type, operating system version)
- Anonymous usage statistics (such as how many users create a material ledger)
This data can never be linked to your identity or your creative work.
2. How We Use Your Information
Because your creative content never leaves your device unless you choose to export or share it, we never use your personal creative data for any purpose. We only use anonymous non-personal data to:
- Fix bugs and improve app performance for all creators
- Add new features that align with what creators need for their upcycling journey
- Maintain the stability of the app
3. Data Storage & Security
All your project content is encrypted locally on your device. We have designed Treeh to keep your creative work private by design: our servers never receive a copy of your projects, photos or notes, so there is no risk of your personal work being exposed from our side.
If you choose to back up your Treeh data to a third-party cloud service (such as iCloud or Google Drive), that storage is governed by the privacy policy of that third-party service.
4. Third-Party Services
Treeh may use limited third-party tools to support core app functionality. These include:
- App store infrastructure for app distribution and updates
- Anonymous crash reporting tools (only if you opt in)
All third-party services we use are required to follow strict privacy standards, and they never receive your creative project data.
5. Your Control Over Your Data
As the owner of your creative work, you have full control over all your data at all times:
- You can edit, delete or export any individual project at any time
- Deleting the Treeh app from your device will delete all your Treeh data permanently from your device
- You can turn off anonymous data collection at any time in the app settings
6. Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes to our app or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy and notify you through the app when you open it after the change goes into effect.
